Women of life and lore.

Artist Statement

My work centers on women, memory, inheritance, and transformation. I’m interested in the way stories, symbols, objects, and rituals move through generations — especially through women — and how personal experience can sit alongside folklore, family history, and the natural world.

Using graphic linework, negative space, and recurring botanical and domestic imagery, I create scenes that feel familiar but slightly unsettled, as though something has just happened or is about to. Flowers, birds, water, clothing, keepsakes, and everyday objects often become carriers of memory or meaning.

I think of each work as part of a larger story rather than a complete explanation. Increasingly, I’m interested in extending those images beyond the page through animation, installation, and participatory work that allows viewers to enter, respond to, or physically change the piece.
